I’m calling this the 90 Day Challenge because that is what Visalaus calls it and that is a major part of this. I’m a Visalus promoter now (in case you haven’t heard) and I’m going to really stick to the challenge and do it the way it was intended. You can hear more about the challenge HERE. I’m not going to go into great detail about it on this post because they can explain it much better and this post is going to be long and confusing as it is. This is what I’m wanting to do for MY 90 Day Challenge….
I want to drink a shake every day for lunch for 90 days. If I mess up or eat out one day, no big deal. I’m not going to beat myself up about it. It won’t be the end of the world because I’m going to be eating healthy. See? Aren’t you liking the sound of this?
I’m going low carb for at least 90 days. This is going to be the hardest part for me since I love bread and pasta! But every time I reach for a Krispy Kreme, I’m going to think about all the extra flab I have since having two children. That’ll do it!
So, if I eat pasta one night because my husband’s cooking is so good and I can’t pass up his shrimp scampi, I’m not going to beat myself up about it. I’m giving myself a few chances to fall off the wagon. Hey, I’m just trying to be realistic here. I always set goals way too high, end up breaking my own rules, end up feeling like a failure and then end up quitting. Anyone relate? And, since I will be exercising daily, I can fall off the wagon every once in a while. Yes, that’s part of the deal too — jogging, walking, working out, lifting weights. If you haven’t already noticed, I want to be a brick house by November 1. No, really I’d just be glad to be back to my pre-baby weight…..you know…since my youngest is….ahem….2.5 years old. OKAY, she’ll be 3 in September and yes I still have 10 pounds to go!
But more so than all of this, I want to work on my spiritual life. My faith journey. If you follow me on instagram, you know I’ve been doing the She Reads Truth series. And, I plan to continue doing that in September and October. But, Tracie from tsj photography wrote a moving e-book and it’s all about faith. She happens to be starting a 31 days series on it tomorrow! She plans to post about it every day on her Facebook page and instagram, too. Hashtag will be #31faith for all you twitter’ers and instagramers! I can’t wait to start and read this book again. This will be the 3rd time I’ve read it! So, who’s with me? I’m so excited about this challenge. I’m ready to get my mind, body, spirit, heart, and health back at it’s best! I will be posting about my journey along the way.
