to hold you over…

I’m not trying to keep you waiting.  I’m not.  It’s just my life right now.  It will pass.  The question is, WHEN;)

In all seriousness, Part 3 is almost done and it’s been the hardest, y’all.  I’ll accept any prayers lifted my way….

To hold you over, I wanted to share this.  I’ve recently become a huge Tim Tebow fan.  Yes, I’ve jumped on the bandwagon.  How could you not?  I mean, this young man has it right.  The great commission that is….to love God’s people, but love God first.  Man oh man,  I could go on for pages about him.  There is a special seat in Heaven for this young man and he inspires me.  The story reads as this….

I read about a woman named Pam, who knows the pain of considering abortion. More than 24 years ago, she and her husband Bob were serving as missionaries to the Philippines and praying for a fifth child. Pam contracted amoebic dysentery, an infection of the intestine caused by a parasite found in contaminated food or drink. She went into a coma …and was treated with strong antibiotics… before they discovered she was pregnant.
Doctors urged her to abort the baby for her own safety and told her that the medicines had caused irreversible damage to her baby. She refused the abortion and cited her Christian faith as the reason for her hope that her son would be born without the devastating disabilities physicians predicted. Pam said the doctors didn’t think of it as a life, they thought of it as a mass of fetal tissue.
While pregnant, Pam nearly lost their baby four times but refused to consider abortion. She recalled making a pledge to God with her husband: If you will give us a son, we’ll name him Timothy and we’ll make him a preacher.
Pam ultimately spent the last two months of her pregnancy in bed and eventually gave birth to a healthy baby boy August 14, 1987. Pam’s youngest son is indeed a preacher. He preaches in prisons, makes hospital visits, and serves with his father’s ministry in the Philippines. He also plays football.
-His name is Timothy Tebow.

I saw this on a new blog I just discovered that may just be my new favorite blog!  Not because she loves Tim Tebow (well, maybe), but because she just seems like a really cool chick.  ;) Hope on over and check out schilling times.  You’ll be glad you did.

And, in case you missed it, I have a new page titled “good reads”.  It lists my favorite blogs and there are some new ones that I will admit I’m obsessed with.  Like….

Momastery (oh.my.word.  Thanks to my friend, Jennifer, I’m hooked!)

naptime dairies (she creates art out of scripture and sells it on etsy….this chick is anointed, I know that much!)

the anderson crew (just a cute, hip little fam I’m following now)

The Macs (another….)

the english muffin blog (just click over, you’ll see why….so cool!)

This reading material should hold you over until tomorrow when I post.  :) Happy Friday Night!
